With the 3339 Blacksmith in beautiful Chocolate Muleskinner leather, we’re offering our popular Blacksmith style in a suede version as well. This rich brown hue harmonizes perfectly with the color of the Vibram 430 Minilug sole, creating a cohesive, almost monochromatic look. The brass eyelets and speed hooks, combined with our brown waxed-cotton laces, visually round out the 3339 Blacksmith and offer virtually endless styling possibilities. Thanks to the slightly softer feel of the suede, the 3339 Blacksmith breaks in relatively quickly and easily without compromising on durability or weather resistance in any way.
Red Wing Shoes successfully launched the Blacksmith collection in 2014. In 2016, the design was updated, resulting in the Blacksmith being built with the Vibram 430 sole instead of the flat Nitrile Cork sole. The recessed tread pattern in the sole provides better traction on unpredictable terrain without adding bulk.
The Blacksmith can truly be called the most classic American work boot. In the early 1900s, the Red Wing Shoe Company began serving rural America with classic Round Toe boots. Versatile and reliable, these were worn in agriculture and by blacksmiths while working, only to be polished and shined for a night out on the town. A truly historic style!
