The beige 8268 Steel Toe Engineer is an exclusive Red Wing boot that was only available in Japan. Now we are proud to offer you this style only in the official Red Wing Shoe Stores. The Steel Toe Engineer was initially designed for the engineers working on America´s railroads in 1936. The pull-on styling and minimal stitching of this collection was specifically designed to protect their feet from hot embers. In the 1950s this boot gained a huge following by the American motorcycle riders. Since back in the day, the Engineer Collection gets manufactured in the company owned plant in Red Wing, Minnesota. The Abilene Roughout leather paired with the Neoprene Cord sole is a true combination of durability and coolness. The upper has the ability to absorb superficial dirt and incorporate it into a beautiful patina. Over time this boot will be extremely comfortable for your feet. The epitomy of the biker boot. The 8268 Steel Toe Engineer is also available in the brown Copper Rough & Tough with the stylenr.: 2972 and the black Black Chrome with the stylenr.: 2268. You also have the option to acquire this style without a steel toe and the more subtle Nitrile Cork sole in dark brown and black (2990 & 2991).
